The Experiment-“Nemesis”
Episode 6- Aela
Aela arrived early as she always did. The office was empty when she arrived. The lights and computers were all off. She walked up to the one of the wall tiles, and pressed her hand on it. The lights began to flicker and the office began to illuminate one panel at a time. She walked towards the desk and sat in Dexter’s chair. She was alone, and she would be for a long time. The newest addition to their team, Walter was sent away on an assignment. And Dexter had gone to complete a mysterious mission of his own.
She was tired of the secrecy. She was expecting the secrecy, but she also thought about the reward of learning and being a part of some of the crazy things happening. And up until recently, she was satisfied, even if she was working in the dark.
Update!
So, I as a few of you know, I made this blog to share my creative writing. I decided I would share my works of fiction with you, my lovely audience.
Unfortunately, I have been neglecting it. I haven’t updated the page with any new content in some time now/.
But, not to worry. I will continue with new episodes starting Thursday.
And I will start sharing some other projects I have been working on in the coming weeks..
I’ve just been busy with school and Mass Effect…mostly Mass Effect.
But I love writing, and I have been neglecting it.
So if you have enjoyed my posts so far, stay tuned. More content is coming.
I left on kind of a cliff hanger too. I know how much that was killing you on the inside. lol.
Thanks for reading.

Q:Tag, you’re it! Here are the rules: Each tagged person must post ten things about themselves. You have to choose and tag ten people. Go to their blogs and tell them you tagged them.
- I’m a progressive. I used to consider myself a left leaning moderate prior to entering college, but once I did, I started reading more, since I didn’t have a TV in my dorm, that changed really quick. I returned a new person…sort of.lol
- I’m a huge video game nerd, but less on playing them and more on it as an art form.
- I love writing. I’m currently trying my hand at fiction. So far I’m finding it difficult to translate what’s in my brain onto the page, but I feel like I’m getting better…which is a plus.lol
- I only recently got my license…last year, at the age of 19…2 years after I graduated…living in the valleys of So-Cal, public transit is horrible, so I was a burden when living at home…
- I like meeting new people, but I’m really terrible at initiating anything with people, so often times people introduce themselves to me…I’m working on it…
- I want a career either writing on the tech or game industry, or writing narrative for video games…maybe film…maybe…the game industry is less…frightening. lol…and I really love videogames…so that’s my first choice.
- I have a lot of inside jokes with myself…which sounds slightly ridiculous and a little creepy
- I used to be really sensitive when I was a kid,and I would cry a lot in class. I developed a sense of humor when I started hanging out with new friends in middle school. I’m still friends with them today.
- I over think things way too much. Interactions, decisions, etc…
- I wish I was shorter…not too short, maybe like 5’10…I’m 6’1 right now,and I became aware of how tall I was a few months back…I like blending into the crowd…now I realize I tower over a lot of people..lol.

The Experiment-“Guardando Nel Buio”
Episode 5-(Dany)
It was nightfall. Dany slowly began to wake up. The rain was pouring heavily now. She couldn’t remember anything. Everything was a haze. The last thing she remembered was Joe being injured in an explosion. But now she was alone, and confused. Everyone was gone. Did they leave her? She slowly started to get up, pushing herself out of the dirt, rocks and mud. There were no sounds except for the pouring rain.
Episode 5 is complete…
Episode 5, entitled,’Guardando Nel Buio,’ will go up this Thursday, 2/23/12
It’s the most action packed episode yet. I’m getting more comfortable with each passing episode, and I have fun writing them. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy writing new episodes. I basically have an outline for every episode, and I write in the meat later. I only have 13 episodes planned right now.
After this Episode, episodes will start going up every other week. So there will be no new episodes next week. But the week after, you can expect episode 6. And that’s just so I have time to write them, edit them, make changes, etc.
So it will be about two episodes a month.
Hope you enjoy! :D

The Experiment-“Vim and Vigor”
Episode 4- (Athena)
The wind was beginning to pick up. They had to find shelter quickly or else they would get caught in the storm. Things had gone from bad to worse after Joe was injured. He lay unconscious as Sam and Ned carried him. Sometimes he would wake up screaming. They had been lucky. Nothing had attacked after the explosion. Dany was walking along side, she was as white as a ghost. She was already pale, but even her freckles seemed to disappear. She had already passed out earlier. She hadn’t spoke since she has woken up.
The group always had an air of danger. Athena never knew what they were thinking. If any of them would betray her at the first sign. She didn’t want to believe that any of them were capable of hurting her or anyone else. But she could never be too sure. Especially with Peter. He seemed the most dangerous. He was a little more calm at the moment. It was either from seeing Joe get hurt or from his own injury.
Joe was lucky to be alive. The fingers on his left hand were almost completely gone. Only his thumb and half of his index finger remained. Sam used the sleeve of his jumpsuit to bandage it up. There were horrible burns all over his body. His face was covered in scratches, with three gruesome ones going from the top of his forehead down the middle of his face across his nose to his chin. Athena couldn’t look at him without wanting to wretch. A horrible thought kept crossing her mind. But it was true, if Joe had been killed he would have been better off. She didn’t want to believe it. But it kept creeping into her mind. If they were to be attacked, who knows what would happen.
“I’m going to scout ahead. We’re moving too slow as a group.” Athena said. The rest of the group stopped. “I can move faster on my own. Plus all this wandering can’t be good for Joe.”
Ned eyed her suspiciously. What does he think I’m going to do, run away? She shot him a glare back. He wasn’t going to stop her. She didn’t ask permission. She began to turn around.
“Wait.” Ned said finally.
“What?” Athena asked.
Ned was silent. It was as though he was trying to think of an excuse. That sent a shot of anger through Athena.
“I’m leaving.” She said before he could answer.
“I’ll come too.” A voice said.
It was Dany. She smiled weakly. “Two sets of eyes are better…right?”
Athena tried to fake a smile. “Fine.”
“Wait!” someone else said.
“What?!” Athena snapped. It was Sam this time.
“Are you sure you should be going Dany? I mean…you passed out…and…your powers…”
“Shut up Sam.” Dany said as she started off.
Athena followed her as the others silently watched them go.
The Experiment- “Sanctuary”
Episode 3 (Dany)
The doubt and fear were gone once again. Dany felt powerful. She was ready. But that would all disappear when she woke up. She didn’t realize how welcoming sleep would be. She wasn’t sure she wanted to sleep. She had no idea where she was, and she could scarcely remember where she was more than a week ago.
I…I was studying for an exam…in my apartment…but…what was I doing before that? It was all a blur. The last two days were spent running through grey empty hallways. Once in awhile, they would run into an enemy. And someone would kill them. Dany hadn’t killed anyone. When she asked the others, they all seemed as confused as she was. But for them, using their new abilities was as natural as breathing. But they had horrible side effects in the form of headaches. Joe had nearly passed out when he used his ability to manipulate the wind. Peter was the only one who didn’t get headaches…but he was also the most arrogant and unstable. He could create shockwaves by clapping, or shouting. At least, that’s all he had demonstrated so far. They had finally reached the outside of the facility. That was the last thing she had remembered before she blacked out.
The Experiment- “Enter the Void”
Episode 2 (Dexter)
It was still early when he received the call. The message was brief. Dexter listened to the message, hung up and rose from his bed. He stretched his tall skinny limbs. He wasn’t very tired, he had just closed his eyes to sleep before he got the call. Dexter was tall, about 6’1, and very lean and slim. He wasn’t strong physically, but he made up for that in intelligence, and other abilities he possessed. He walked into the mirror and looked at his dark black skin. He had grey eyes, that shined like silver at times. His eyes were always cold and emotionless. His head was shaved with neat precision. Everything about him was neat and precise, sharp and cold. His face was smooth and young. No one would ever guess he was leading a project as massive as this. He was only 20, but he had been chosen. Why wouldn’t it be him? It was all based on his research.
The Experiment- “The Deep End”
Episode 1 (Dany)
A bright light bathed Dany. It was warm, and it greeted her. Her eyes began to focus, and she realized where she was. She was in space, overlooking the Earth. It was enormous. And she was floating in peace. It wasn’t cold like she thought it would be. It was quiet. And for the first time she had understanding. She stared at the planet, absorbing the silence, and appreciating the warmth. She wasn’t wearing anything, no clothes, not a space suit. Nothing to protect her from the elements. She was as naked as the day she was born. She stayed floating in peace. And suddenly aware of everything. From the Earths size and quiet beauty to even herself. From every freckle that occupied her face and arms, to every curly frizzy hair on her head. Dany was quite tall. She was about 5’10. She had pale skin, and freckles, and large brilliant green eyes, and red frizzy hair. As she floated she appreciated it all.
Details on ‘The Experiment.’
So I will put up the first episode of The Experiment tomorrow, or Thursday.
It’s entitled, “The Deep End”
The way I’ll organize the episodes, will have the epissode name in the title description, and in the actual post at the top I will have the episode number and the name of the character who’s perspective the story is being told through. Since some characters are in different places, and I thought it would be confusing (at least early on.) And sometimes I might change perspective in the same episode.
I hope you guys like it,and check in every week. I’ll try to post them on the same day to be consistent, but for a couple weeks it’ll be on whatever day I can finish, and have it up.
:)
